Terms of Service

Tapedeck is a songwriting and video-creation app. We provide tools to write lyrics, generate AI-assisted drafts, make lyric videos and cinematic clips, share songs, and publish content to third-party platforms. The service is provided by Tapedeck.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tapedeck. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

Anything you write, upload, generate, share, or publish through Tapedeck is your responsibility. You must only create and share content that you have the right to use. Do not copy someone else's lyrics, melodies, recordings, videos, or artwork without permission.

You retain ownership of your original content. By using the service, you give Tapedeck the limited right to store, process, display, and distribute your content as needed to run the app and fulfill your actions (for example, rendering a share page or exporting a video).

If you believe a song or video on Tapedeck infringes your copyright, please submit a report through our Copyright Report page.

You agree not to use Tapedeck to:

• Infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Upload or distribute unlawful, harmful, abusive, or hateful content.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Interfere with the service, probe for vulnerabilities, or scrape user data.

Tapedeck is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service running and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tapedeck and its operators are not liable in any way for disputes, claims, damages, or losses that arise from content you or another user create, share, or publish using the service. This specifically includes, but is not limited to, claims that a song, lyric, video, or other work infringes someone else's copyright or intellectual property rights.

If someone tries to copy or does copy another person's song or music using Tapedeck, the individual who created or uploaded that content is solely responsible. Tapedeck acts as a tool provider and host, and we are not a party to any copyright dispute between users or between a user and a third party.

You agree to indemnify and hold Tapedeck harmless from any claim, demand, or damages arising out of your use of the service or any content you submit, share, or publish.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Some content may remain in backups for a limited period.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The latest version will always be posted at this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Tapedeck after changes means you accept the new terms.
